Enjoyable Read

I have just read "The Secret Scripture" by Sebastian Barry. This was shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize 2008. I found it compulsive reading. The way he revealed the story by atlernating Rosanne's testimony with Dr Grene's was an effective method of fleshing out each of these characters and also being able to presenting conflicting views. It is a dark story but I found it compulsive reading.
